Status Updates From The Execution of Noa P. Sin...

I don't quite know where this book is going. I get that back-story is necessary but it doesn't really seem essential to what I imagine the story is about. I will say that I'm going to be VERY irritated if I don't get an idea of what went down and why she killed this girl.

I didn't care for the characters, and put it aside.

Even though I'm not quite done with the book yet, I can already tell I'll be rating it 5 stars. Noa, while a criminal, is still a fantastic character who is witty and humorously sarcastic.

So good so far!

Ms. Silver, you've managed to draw a clinician into the story who has direct experience with violent people. Keep going!

holy crap.....I don't wanna put it down.

The writing is wonderfully descriptive and lyrical. I've no idea yet whether I will love the story, but the writing is impressive.

I didn't know this book was this long! So far it's ok. The main narrative is a little forced but seems to be getting meatier.

OH ~~ things are not as they had appeared ~~ the twists are coming!

This is now getting a titch better ~~ trial is starting ~~ will see now if the last 150 pages of background detail was really worth its weight. It has kept me turning pages waiting for the trial to start and the plot to thicken, however. At this point, I would rate this a 3 star book ~~ will revise that at the end.

Ready for her crime to show up ~~ getting a bit impatient~~ lot of background details~~ we will see if all that is really important as the story goes on ??

So far, very good.

The only surprise was that brief instant when I thought of a way there could be a surprise, but no.

As much as it is a fast read, I am having trouble concentrating.

I never wanted to edit the hell out of a real published novel before. Way too many WTF moments caused by the writing and not the story.

It just got way more interesting!

The quest toward a windmill is more fulfilling than an empty stroll, sometimes, even if the windmill isn't real.

I sort of felt better after it came our, like it was siting for the right time to arrive. Profanity can be that way--either gratuitous or magical.

Another book where the writing fails to hook me, yet the story is reeling me in anyway.

So good. I want to keep reading but have things to do.

Done. Oh Noa, you had had luck throughout your life....

Going to finish this up now...

Thinking about giving up on this. The story isn't compelling so far. I'm listening to the audio version and I really dislike the narrator's voice. Meh.
