Status Updates From Escape from Mr. Lemoncello'...

Right now Kyle and Akimi are in an alliance and they hear haley scream from downstairs. After, Charles said that they couldn’t help anyone if the wanted to win. The conflict is that they are all trying to escape the library. It would be Character vs Character because Kyle is trying to beat the other kids in the library.

I ended this part of reading with a song called Sunflower by Post Malone and Swae Lee. The song can really connect to the book, for example, there is a line in the song "Then you're left in the dust unless I stuck by ya, you're a sunflower. " This part can refer to Kyle Keely's story. He was left in the library. In the library grew from a seed into a sunflower and is starting to take leadership to escape the library.

The story of the book is very similar to a game of Mr. X (escape room.) In this book, Kyle, a little smart gamer, had to find his way out of a giant new public library. He does that by solving riddles and finding clues. This is extremely similar to Mr.X because that is exactly what you do in Mr.X! You find clues and try to get out of the room! So if you are an Mr.X fan, this book is perfect for you!

Kyle is not really like me but is really similar to my friend in Canada, his name is AJ. At the beginning of the book. Kyle kicked open a window to his basement and broke it. He did that just to win a scavenger hunt. In the end, he got grounded. This is similar to AJ. In the past, he did lots of wild things. For example, he did a dare which is to face my other friend's dog, who could easily bite your finger off!!!

Quick middle grade read. Fun escape.

Mr. Lemoncello just announced the game to the kids and the game I about to win. Before it starts Kayla Carson and Rose Vermette leave before the game starts. Kyle Keeley is grateful for family and friends because he in the book he is lots of friends and family that he cares for.

I am reading this book with my 5th grade class as it was chosen for the school wide book this year! It is a fun and engaging story as we follow the main character, Kyle, through his adventure at the new library in town. It is so well written that both adults and children alike can enjoy the plot and characters!

Right now Mr. Lemoncello has given the kids in the library the opportunity to earn money if they escape. Also, the parents have no say in the kid’s decision if they want to participate in the game. Mr. Lemoncello is the best because he is very creative and generous and he is very similar to Willy Wonka. He is very generous because he gave the kids a chance to win money.

Mr. Lemoncello is the best character because he is a very creative and quirky person and he is very similar to Willy Wonka. Yeah. I have to admit that this book is indeed the mixture of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Night at the Museum, and The Hunger Games :)

While the kids are entering the library, Mr. Lemoncello explains that “We of course, want our winners to have fun tonight. However, I must insist that each of you respect my number one rule: Be gentle.” This might be a sign of foreshadowing . This is because someone might break something in value.

Right now, the kids are in the library and they find a holographic message of the librarian who helped Mr. Lemoncello. They also get informed that they are not allowed to have any electronic devices.

Pretty boring so far.

Right now they are entering Mr. Lemoncello’s library. My connection is the movie Willy Wonka. It’s similar to Willy Wonka because only few kids got in, in Willy Wonka they had a golden ticket and in my book they had to write an essay. I also think Mr. Lemoncello and Willy Wonka are similar because they are both very spontaneous.

Right now Mr. Limoncello just announced the seventh graders that will sleep at the new library. He is just about to go home to tell his family about the good news. “Sorry. The correct answer is—and not just because of Winn-Dixie—D) all of the above! This shows his witty personality.

Already really enjoying this book!

A part that disappointed me was when they thought they had figured the way out of the library by climbing to the top and out the window but that was the wrong way and then he was just stuck on top of the giant bookshelves.

I was confused when the parents let there kids become locked into the library and not take them home. This shows that all the parents just want there kids to be famous and they don't care about their safety.

The type of conflict going on in this book would be character vs. character. This is because the kids were playing against each other in various games to win prizes throughout the night. They will now be playing against each other in "Escape Mr. Lemoncello's Library" and conflicting each other's choices throughout the game.

Currently, Mr. Lemoncello has announced that the kids will be playing the game "Escape from Mr. Lemmoncello's Library." The library, as described by Mr. Lemoncello, will be the game board, and the children will be the pieces.

Currently, Kyle has rushed a new essay for his entry even though his friends thought it wouldn’t count. He has been picked as the last person to go to the library on Friday. The setting does not greatly affect the plot, as it takes place in recent years and in a normal suburb. Though the new library adds to the basis of the story, everything else in the setting does not greatly affect the story.

Everyone says stuff like "yo, whazzup" and "chya" and it's really throwing me off. My kingdom for some better dialogue...

I basically dislike every single one of these kids.

This is one crazy adventure :P

I have the feeling I would have loved this as a kid but currently the not so great writing and super flat characters/bad dialogue is kinda putting a damper on it. But I've heard great things (... from a book character...) so I'll keep at it!
