Reading with the kids at bedtime

am I adding a book that I’m reading to my kids for school to my reading challenge? uh yeah it’s almost 300 pages lmao it’s gonna count

I feel like there are already some very adult references like conference calls and things that I don’t think a child or younger adult would relate with or understand

It’s really good, I read it before two years ago as well as the rest of the series. I love how they use their knowledge of books and games combined to escape. A truly great book.

Good so far! Amazing beginning!

This is the second time I've read this book. I really love it! I don't really remember what happens at the end, but I do remember the beginning. Kyle (The main character) writes his essay to try to go to the library lock-in. He wrote it vert last minute so all he put was "Balloons. I hope there'll be balloons". He thinks that all of his friends will get in, and all of his friends don't think he'll get in, but...

It’s fine so far

I’m only rereading this in tidbits as I procrastinate my English homework or before I go to bed, but if I finish it by December’s end I can count it toward my reading goal! Also I’m just putting this on here in case any of you hadn’t heard of it, because it’s lovely (at least it was when I was 10, but I’m pretty certain it holds up)

I think it was shocking when Kyle and his brothers broke the basement window. Kyle and his brothers had done a searching board game and had broken some rules on the way. "I saw victory, I then relised the window had broken " (p 12) He had focused so much on winning that Kyle diddnt relise the consequences. This shows that Kyle had broken the window is shocking.

I got as far as the 3rd chapter & decided not to finish it.

I'm reading this for work

I don't like the narrator but I like any book with the phrase, "world famous librarian." That's a world I want to live in.
