This is really neat.. but also kind intense.. lol. I love the premise.. and I love rebuses! I miss those!

Wow.. I’m reading this a lot slower than I thought I would heh-

this is an awesome book!

Kyle and his team escaped the library after Andrew and Charles were eliminated.

Andrew stole the library card from Sierra.

Sierra found that to find the remaining decimal codes they had to play a game on the ceiling of the Wonder Dome.

Kyle and his team have all started reading Sherlock Holmes to try and gather skills to become better puzzle-solvers.

I’m reading this one out loud to my kids. Everyone is loving it so far.

Charles pulled a Clunker Card which closed the dewy decimal rooms for 14 hours.

Kyle and Charles' teams have continued their search for book clues. Meanwhile, Haley won another bonus.

After starting to play the Bibliomania game inside the library, Kyle remembered how his mom had emailed for new cards to play a different game. He then asked the librarian for a new set of cards which led the team to a book entitled 'Get To Know Your Local Library'. After looking inside the book they found out that a long time ago Mr. Lemoncello had checked it out of the old library.

Akimi discovered that the library cards were clues that would help them escape the library and Haley joined Charles' team to find more clues.

After watching a short hologram film about their American heritage, Charles and Andrew found another bonus clew to escaping the library.

Kyle found out that to find the exit to the library he and his friends needed to play the ultimate life size version of one of Mr. Lemoncello's games.

Kyle rescued Haley from the book sorter treadmill. Therefore, he won a bonus clue. I also found out that Haley is much smarter than people think.

After Kyle thought that he had found the way out of Mr. Lemoncello's library, he realized that there was a security screen outside the window so he could not escape that way. He then looked at the Staff's Most Memorable Books section where he found a mysterious card in the children's section relating to one of the books.

I like how this story is starting out.

- Not bothering to go further with this one. That’s another for the DNF pile!

- The references to in-world stuff like board games that don’t exist outside of the book are irritating and pointless.
- This feels so cringy. Like it’s trying to be Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but the discount Wonka has no class or style.
- The protagonist was picked! And no one was surprised. No reader, at least. Of course he was picked even though his essay consisted of one sentence about balloons.

- This book is very wordy. Where do I pause to breath?
- I never knew PS3 was Blu-ray compatible. Also people were still playing PSP in 2012/13? That’s Gameboy era tech. I’ve never seen a PSP exist beside a 3DS, that’s not realistic.

I'm throwing in the towel. We just aren't really enjoying this one 😕
