A friend recommended this book to me approximately 7 years ago and it may have taken 7 years and a whole child-to-adult transition BUT I'M READING IT

So far the only kid who deserves to win is Sierra as she is the only one who actually cares about books!

I ended when it started talking about how if you do not want to keep playing then press you library can and you will be taken out

I'm reading this aloud to my class, and it's horrible.

Oh and this library has a dedicated young adult space

nah this is too fantastical, my library could never even dream of it in a billion years with a billion dollars. /snark

This library is full of very outrageous and impossible things, but the most incredible element:

….”the children’s enrichment room, with soundproof walls”

(Please note the library I work in has a huge open staircase that allows all sound from the children’s floor to ricochet everywhere, especially when the littles are screaming, which is Always.)

Its really like the movie the only thing is that he broke the basement window not the store window.

This story is kinda quirky, but at the same time, a book that makes you sit at the end of your chair. Also, it’s a book that you don’t want to stop reading, you always want to know what happens next. The story is also quite “interactive” with all the riddles that you can help the characters solve. I really enjoy reading this book and already can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

I am loving this book so far, I am reading it to my son and so far this is the most interesting middle grade book that I have read in a long time.
