Libbie Hawker (L.M. Ironside) is 53% done

Being a fan of Maia has bitten me in the butt. I am finding too many inconsistencies in the setting between Shardik and Maia, and it's distracting me. I also find Adams's characteristic tendency to go off on very long tangents built on convoluted sentences quite tiresome in this book. My guess: after Watership Down's success, the editor for Shardik didn't work too hard to rein Adams in.
