So...as it turns out, 90% of the film was fictional. FACTS: 3 Half-Aboriginal/Half-White girls escaped from government-mandated forced relocation to a trade-school-camp; 2 of them made it back to their families safely, while another broke away because she was tired of the trek. FICTIONS: Everything else. Every Single. Thing. Oh, the film also conveniently left out how badly Aboriginal people treated half-whites...

Okay, while i don't doubt that things like these might have happened to the Aboriginal people, nor that they would have reacted thusly, it's a LITTLE weird to begin your totally-a-true-story memoir of early 20th century oppression and rebellion with three successive FICTIONAL NARRATIVES taking place HUNDREDS OF YEARS AGO. Especially when you don't acknowledge that they are fictional!
