Several heartbeats of quiet passed before Zane spoke.

“First time I saw you, after I got over hating you, I knew,” he said, echoing Ty's words,
“I knew I'd fall in love with you.”

“Ty,” he said urgently. “I wish you'd trusted me with this earlier,” Nick muttered to him, “If I'd known, all those years….”

Before Ty really registered what was happening, Nick had taken his shoulders in both hands and was kissing him soundly.

Don’t know why but calling someone baby freaks me out. I don’t care if we’ve been married for 30 years, you call me baby and I’m calling the police.

I really love how “I love you” is handled in this. Just because someone says it to you doesn’t mean you’re required to say it back. You say it when you’re good and damn well ready!

“I'm going to fuck you until you can't remember your name,” Ty said as he pulled Zane's lower lip between his and dragged his teeth along it. He bit at Zane's shoulder as if he wanted to simply devour him.

Zane wanted to be eaten alive.

“What can I do?” he asked, feeling helpless and useless.

Zane licked his bottom lip and opened his eyes, turning his face toward Ty. “Don't leave me alone.” His voice actually shook.

“It'll be okay. The hot paramedic chick gave me her number to call if I needed help,” Ty continued, his good hand weakly chasing Zane's. “She plays first base.”

“That's nice.”

“I'd rather be with you.”

“That's good to hear. You'd never tell me that if you weren't drugged, I bet.”

“Nope!” Ty told him happily.


It should be illegal for someone to be this adorable. It's doing weird things to my heart

Zane let the momentary annoyance fade into the background. They could bitch about work later. “Sure you still want dessert before dinner?”

“You're not dessert, Zane. You're the main course,” Ty informed him in a husky drawl.

ZANE : If a hunter can shoot a deer with either hand does that make him bambidextrous? Have you seen eagles catch their prey? They’re really talonted.


TY : You win. I'll do anything please make it stop.


ZANE : Promise you’ll scream for me tonight.

Let me just say, I am fucking obsessed with this series. This is getting borderline crazy but I mean.
