Aw, thanks! I raised my challenge from 68 to 90. I mean, if it's too high, I'll have to read faster. Too low and I could be tempted to read slower.

And reading slower is always a bad thing. Too many books!

Mandy It's March and you hare read 34 books? Wow! You must be able to really speed read. I can with some stuff but not everything. How long are your normal books?

Same with the speed reading. Been reading lots of contemporary so I can read fast. Only read one literary and started another a couple of hours ago which take a while. I've read a few short ones, though I have to admit almost all are novels. I rarely read long novels though.

Mandy That's pretty amazing. What's the longest book you have read so far?

Jodi Picoult's The Storyteller. My estimate is it had 150,000 words--double the length! Her books are always crazy long.

What about you?

message 7: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Not sure how many pages 150,000 words would be about off hand since sometimes it depends on if a book is paperback or hardback. The longest one I have read this year was Rapture by Lauren Kate which was 432 pages. Her books though I have seen to be able to read pretty quickly.

I feel like I've read a lot and then speed readers mark their challenges at like 300, 400, and 500 books so far and i'm like...but i tried my hardest! lol

Lol. I am lucky if I reach 15-20 books a year. I wish I had the time. Maybe I should have grown up to be an editor instead.
