Verses for the Dead by Douglas Preston
Chris’s first review of the year
it was amazing
Another fast-paced thriller featuring Specual Agent Pendergast. This time, Pendergast is chasing after a serial killer in Miami. How will Pendergast handle Mister Brokenhearts, let alone the new partner he's been saddled with to reign him in?

If you are a fan of Preston and Child, you know what you're in for. If you're not a fan yet, you have an entire series to explore. Happy reading!

A Boy Called Christmas by Matt Haig
Chris’s last review of the year
it was amazing
This was a beautifully written book. A blend of humor and heart in only the way Matt Haig can do it.

Such a fun yet touching story of a boy who grows up to be Santa Claus. The magic within these pages definitely increased my holiday spirit. Thank you, Matt Haig, for this gift.
