The second half felt a lot more charming than the first half. Since this was her debut novel, I don't think Colleen Hoover convinced me of their undeniable love as well as she does in later books. It's still interesting to read and contrast with her later, more grand novels. I think a big issue for me was that the setting was just... not why I come to Colleen Hoover books. I didn't really like the fundamental setting
