really liked it
As someone who grew up on the Gulf Coast, I found this an fascinating look at the history of the region. I learned a lot.

I wish the author could have resisted the snide comments about politicians they didn't agree with politically. Most of the comments were unnecessary, did not further the narrative, and actually distracted from it causing me to give a lower rating.
