“He showed me his scars, and in return he let me pretend that I had none.”

I loved the first novel by Madeline Miller - "The Song of Achilles". Ancient mythological Greece is a setting I enjoy quite a lot. Her newest book "Circe" is set in the same setting. The story is told through the eyes of Circe herself. As Miller's first novel, this one is a more intimate take on the character. I loved how she takes old and familiar characters and shows them
