I waited a few days before posting a review. Perplexed over what I liked, what I didn’t. What worked and what didn’t hit my satisfied reader button.

The premise of this story is five star but the presentation hindered the telling. It was if the writers wrote the story then switched the chapters for the purpose of adding twists that seemed forced. A back and forth style leaving the impression that most of the story was presented as backstory.

I wanted so much to love, love, love this book because my hero, Dan Brown, suggested to our online Master's writing class we should devour this novel. Yeah, that's right, THE Dan Brown loved this story enough to recommend it to paying students.

Readers, it is with a heavy heart I admit, I found the main character downright depressing. And I'm what some people refer to as nauseatingly optimistic. Before you jump to blame my taste in reading
