The Confessions of Frannie Langton by Sara Collins
Brianna’s first review of the year
liked it
A tale of how Frannie Langton came from slavery and ended up in a jail cell. Although the pacing is slower than I normally read, the plot was so intriguing that it pulled you into the story. I really started to enjoy the story once Frannie was at the Benham estate. The relationships in this story are complex and ultimately intriguing. The story is told mainly through long flashbacks with case files and moments from the trial weaved between. This ...more

Brianna’s last review of the year
it was amazing
This story was absolutely amazing, even if it does reinforce my fears of a robot apocalypse! I love both Crier and Ayla, so it was always a delight to read either of their perspectives. Great pacing, voice, and character development. When I had to put the book down, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I'm really excited for Iron Heart and am very sad that I'm going to have to wait to read the next book.
