Kinda Sorta American Dream by Steve Karas
Michael’s first review of the year
really liked it
Overall solid collection of short stories that first hit my radar via my friend Ben Tanzer's podcast (This Podcast Will Change Your Life). Sometimes it takes a while, but I'll eventually get to things I really want to. :-)

The standout stories for me include To Abdo, With Love; Hold On; Sixteen Hundred Closest Friends; Toys in Closets; and (for this Detroit boy!) Kingdom Come.

But then I realized that this is the beautiful, lyrical journey about life and death and nature and sons and fathers that I didn't know I needed as we wrap up this crazy ...more
