Disclaimer: I haven’t read many books with business advice, so I do not have anything to compare it with.

That said, I liked “the hard thing about hard things” mainly because before reading it I haven’t given much thought to how hard some of the decisions that the CEO has to make are and how much it might weigh on them. Of course, this seems obvious when written like that, you need to look at the situations in the book to fully understand it.

Obviously, “Means of Ascent” will be compared with “Path to Power”. But the fact that this volume pales in comparison with the first one does not mean that “Means of Ascent” is a bad book, or even a simply good book, it only further highlights how great the first volume is.
