it was amazing
If this became a series I would buy every single instalment.

Hollywood here's 52 great bio-pic ideas instead of the pale, male and stale you normally roll with!

I loved EVERYTHING about this. The cover, the art, the layout, the type face, the fucking language! Mackenzi Lee brought these women to life. This is history that doesn't read as a wikipedia entry (okay... I did hit up wikipedia after reading about some of this women to read more but it

Courtney’s last review of the year
it was ok
I wasn't enthralled by this at all. The premise sounded good but the execution?

The inclusion of the former mayor of Melbourne, Robert Doyle, has aged poorly. And so many man just rambled on about sport and I just deeply did not care.

The most interesting inclusion was from Alastair Nicolson detailing the practice of child giving in the Torres Straight and the work to recognise it.

Otherwise I felt this was a pretty monotone collection.
