The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
Dani’s first review of the year
it was ok
Despite a number of people telling me to read it sooner, I only read it eventually because of my university's book club. On the one hand, I'm glad I gave the book a try, given how it was so popular and also a genre outside of my comfort zone. On the other... I didn't enjoy it all that much. I didn't like any of the characters, and without a character to connect to, I found myself alternating between feeling deeply uncomfortable and quite honestly ...more

Dani’s last review of the year
really liked it
I started this as an audiobook, and I just could not get into it. I'm sorry, but the narrator was completely wrong for the book! After putting it to the side for a while, I tried it again, but this time on Kindle. And you know what? I LOVED IT. Just shows how important choosing the right narrator is.

I'll post a full review soon, but I need to say that this was great. The characters were awesome, the world was believable, the powers were cool. My
