The Magician's Elephant by Kate DiCamillo
Amanda’s first review of the year
really liked it
Read this out loud to my 9 year old and 7 year old. They really enjoyed this story. Sometimes they needed to be reminded about all the different characters. We enjoyed the poetic descriptions.

Amanda’s last review of the year
liked it
I enjoyed the first 75% of the book when it was mostly about books and making it on your own. I loved reading about the Highlands in Scotland, but I found the book predictable.
