Oh, pity the poor, modest, noble stranger, for he shall save your lives and prove more than worthy of your admiration!

...or something. The Crystal Shard is cheesy and often silly. We're being poked with morally-correct attitudes, characters decide to synchronize attacks as if led by a destiny with a very fixed schedule and sometimes I couldn't help rolling my eyes.
