M.D. Kenney earned a BFA in Interior Design and a MS in Historic Preservation from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has taught everything from kitchen and bath design to historic preservation while pursuing residential design.

A native of Oak Park, Illinois, Ms. Kenney has been married for over 25 years and has three children. Her and her husband currently reside in Charleston, South Carolina with their beloved Boston terriers, Monroe and Ralphie, and their Maine coon cat, Sid.

Death By Design is M.D. Kenney’s first novel. She is currently working on her next Bailey Davis Vampire Intrigue: Design’s in Blood.
