So melodramatic and corny! I think that if this wasn't a 90-page story but one where Dean Koontz got to do his buildup of anticipation-thing this would actually have been a good story. The idea of the genetically enhanced killer rats is nice, but the ...more

Murder and sex. It was like reading a Candlelight romance while people were getting murdered around the two main characters. It was another quick in between read, not much special but ok enough for during a rainy day.

A quick read about a sadistic evil girl that manipulates everyone around her. It was like a B-horror movie, in book form. A bit predictable, but nevertheless a good in-between story. Not really special, but not totally bad either.

My first response to this novel was that I really liked the way it was written. It was a story being told and lived at the same time, by Inara and the detectives. You often come across this in television shows, but it was the first time I experienced ...more

This novel was a hard one. Not hard as in difficult to read, but hard as in full of dread, despair and hopelessness. But also very poetic and full of love. It's hard to describe the feeling this book leaves me with, but it is definitely worth 5 ...more

I just love Agatha Christie. Read this first Miss Marple and simply can't believe it was written in 1930. Besides for having butlers and maids, this could have happened last week! And be honest, we actually still have those today but don't call them ...more

“I only believe in one miracle - the miracle of pain. Because it is a miracle that the heart ca bear what it is given to bear. And when it can't bear it anymore it is a miracle, too, to have a way to escape.”
