I did not understand these poems, other than the most obvious ones! The language was marvellous, moody, dreamy... but I just didn't get the majority of them. Likely, my brain was not working as hard as it should have been to understand them.

Patti Smith
“Nothing can be truly replicated. Not a love, not a jewel, not a single line.”
Patti Smith, M Train

Brené Brown
“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.”
Brené Brown, Rising Strong: How the Ability to Reset Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead

Rebecca Mead
“Reading is sometimes thought of as a form of escapism, and it’s a common turn of phrase to speak of getting lost in a book. But a book can also be where one finds oneself; and when a reader is grasped and held by a book, reading does not feel like an escape from life so much as it feels like an urgent, crucial dimension of life itself.”
Rebecca Mead, My Life in Middlemarch

Janice Macleod
“...the only way to happiness is to find people with whom you can eat, drink and laugh. That is everything”
Janice Macleod, Paris Letters

Gloria Steinem
“When humans are ranked instead of linked, everyone loses.”
Gloria Steinem, My Life on the Road
