3.25. It’s a good book. I like about half of it, but a lot of it wasn’t for me. I found it really hard to find one thing to connect with in it. The characters aren’t bad and can be compelling, but the people, the writing, and the world all felt cold.

Garrett Byrum is 30% done with The Left Hand of Darkness: I don’t normally update on books but I just gotta say that I am not a huge fan of this one. It feels like an unnatural creation that is totally absorbed by itself rather than a fluid story. It could stand to lose half the exposition and get some more dialogue. Though I’m not particularly interested in anything about it so maybe that wouldn’t help.
