Hmm this between 2.5 & 3 stars. I think reading two Snow White retellings back to back wasn't the best idea. I don't think I was ready to hear this story yet again which is the reason I might judge this book a bit harshly. Anyway full review to c ...more

I wanted to love this book more. The beginning started off with a bang but tapered off around the middle and the ending wasn't as good as the first book. This entire book left me wanting more from every scene.

TL;DR: I enjoyed it & was an easy, fast read.

I'm surprised that I enjoyed this book. I'm not a big fan of rom-com type books because they always come across cheesy to me. However, the protagonist Hannah was very relatable and funny. We met her as

I didn't care for this book. The characters were flat, the plot was boring and the twists were fairly predictable. This book had a ton of potential because Swan Lake is such a formidable ballet and to use it for inspiration in a story gives a lot of ...more

Leigh Bardugo
“I missed you every hour. And you know what the worst part was? It caught me completely by surprise. I'd catch myself just walking around to find you, not for any reason, just out of habit, because I'd seen something that I wanted to tell you about or because I wanted to hear your voice. And then I'd realize that you weren't there anymore, and every time, every single time, it was like having the wind knocked out of me. I've risked my life for you. I've walked half the length of Ravka for you, and I'd do it again and again and again just to be with you, just to starve with you and freeze with you and hear you complain about hard cheese every day. So don't tell me why we don't belong together," he said fiercely.”
