Philippa Jamieson was born to two librarian parents, and has worked in bookselling and publishing.
In 2002 she began a journey around New Zealand for two and a half years on the WWOOF scheme, volunteering on 40 different organic farms and gardens, and wrote a book about her experiences: The Wild Green Yonder (copies are now available direct from the author).

The Killing Room by Gerri Hill
"I made a mistake. I’ve read a few of Gerri Hill’s books and know that I do not like her older books because there’s always something offensive and just unsettling in them. So my rule is avoid her books before 2018.

“The best six doctors anywhere
And no one can deny it
Are sunshine, water, rest, and air
Exercise and diet.
These six will gladly you attend
If only you are willing
Your mind they'll ease
Your will they'll mend
And charge you not a shilling.”
