""So call it four out of every eight hours of every workday as Clark Kent. Forget for a moment that Superman went about his do-goodery in an incredibly inefficient way and just crunch the numbers with best guesses.
The existence of Clark Kent cost four people their lives in the average day. A human life was worth less to Superman than the ability to sit at a desk for an hour.""

This is one of those comics where I can't really explain why I liked this. The story is very messy, but I liked both the art work and the dialogue. Not sure what the entire point of it was, but definitely readable and fun.
Immortal Hulk, Vol. 2 by Al Ewing
"For 10 issues now, I've been consistently blown away by how amazing this series is. Mixing body horror, nightmare-fuel-art, and a surreal mystery, Ewing turns the Hulk from a puppet in a boring action book into an unstoppable machine of destructio..." Read more of this review »
Immortal Hulk, Vol. 1 by Al Ewing
"What a comeback! For Hulk, for Al Ewing and for Marvel in general. The Immortal Hulk is a spectacular success.

About every year Marvel comes up with one or two series that are THE SHIT — comics that are unique, genre-bending, requiring immediate at..." Read more of this review »

I've never read any Hulk comic before, but this is pretty good way to start. Al Ewing takes the character and spins a horror story out of it, in which the Hulk is an intelligent, dark side of Bruce Banner that comes out at night. The idea feels quite ...more

Krystal Sutherland
“As she fell, Esther wasn’t worried about being blown off course and plummeting into the rocks below. She wasn’t worried about hitting the shallows and pin diving to the ocean floor and shattering her spine. She wasn’t even worried about Cthulhu. (Okay, maybe a little.) What she worried about was Eugene’s willingness to jump. The way he glanced down at the water far below and looked at it like it was home. The way he stepped lightly from the cliff’s edge, and the way he fell through the air faster than she did, dragged down by earth’s magnetic field. The way he flickered in the sunlight as he hit the water, the same way Tyler Durden flashed on-screen four times before you saw him solidly. Foreshadowing the twist to come. Eugene was afraid of demons, and monsters, and above all the dark, but he was not afraid of death. That scared her more than anything.”

“Everyone we let into our lives has the power to hurt us. Sometimes they will, and sometimes they won't, but that's not a reflection of us, or our strength. Loving someone who hurts you doesn't make you weak.”

Liu Cixin
“She stared at her father's lifeless body, and the thoughts she could not voice dissolved into her blood, where they would stay with her for the rest of her life.”

“And “weak” wasn’t really the right word for what Shade meant. What he was trying to say was harder to express. It was giving in to feelings other people thought you were supposed to have about things that shouldn’t have happened to you in the first place, but were not like the actual feelings you did have. There wasn’t a word for that in Raksuran or Altanic or Kedaic or any other language Moon knew. Moon said, “It’s not weak.” The”
