Essi Mäkelä is a scholar of religion currently working on her PhD Thesis. The subject is registering of religious communities in Finland. She has published fiction in the form of short stories, and children's factual books on Finland, Estonia, Norway and Iceland. Currently, alongside her thesis, Essi is working on multiple non-fiction and fiction manuscripts.
