"“Can you snap?” he repeated. “Your fingers.” He snapped his.
“Can’t everybody snap?” I asked him.
“You’d be surprised,” he replied.
“I’m meeting the guys from Cardamon’s Couch to record some music,” he explained in a low voice. “And we need someone who can snap."

I've never done one of those "book reveal" that seems so popular these days, so I thought I'd make an attempt at it for this one.

I figure since this book is like, all Harry Potter-ish, with an orphan girl learning about her m

I just reread this book again today in preparation for starting book 2, and it is just as good as the first time :)

It is important, when killing a nun, to ensure that you bring an army of sufficient size. For Sister Thorn of the Sweet Mercy Convent,

The worst thing about this book is that I mentally read it with a Southern drawl. It is unbelievably annoying.

Most of the time, I go into a book with certain expectations. "I'm going to love this book" "Oh, this sounds just awful" so on and so forth.

I lack the words with which to sing this book's praises because this book leaves me speechless with joy.

Mary Balogh is above and beyond the best historical romance author in the whole world. There's like almost no sex in this store and I DON'T CARE.

3 stars because I love reading about Henry VIII and his wives, but tbh Jane was a boring queen and this was a boring book. I don't really get the reviews raving about Jane. She was bland as fuck in the book, and pretty self-righteous.

Which, of cours

“It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.”
J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

“I agree that it's a shame some books have to suffer ratings that clearly are invalid. However I can't think of a way to prevent it, and I didn't see any ideas in the thread either (I did skim though).

I hope you'll appreciate that if we just start deleting ratings whenever we feel like it, that we've gone down a censorship road that doesn't take us to a good place.”
Otis Y. Chandler

C.S. Lewis
“No book is really worth reading at the age of ten which is not equally – and often far more – worth reading at the age of fifty and beyond.”

Description: Parody by Mike and Khanh. We are not authors. We never want to be authors. This is just for fun. We're not making a single cent on this. Capisce?! An ancient angel and his demon counterpart falls in love with a beautiful, innocent young orphan who's not who she seems. With the destiny of the world in their hand, will they save the world, destroy it...or follow their heart?! Warning: This is a parody. It will be stupid and offensive to many people, cultures, your intelligence in general.
