Too many loose ends and subplots that went nowhere but for the length, the mystery was fairly good.

Loved this one, couldn't put it down! The characters are very real, lots of tension but not in an overwhelming way, surprising twists that I didn't see coming.

“Home is where they have to accept you.”

Osayi Emokpae Lasisi
“Quitting is not giving up, it's choosing to focus your attention on something more important. Quitting is not losing confidence, it's realizing that there are more valuable ways you can spend your time. Quitting is not making excuses, it's learning to be more productive, efficient and effective instead. Quitting is letting go of things (or people) that are sucking the life out of you so you can do more things that will bring you strength.”
Osayi Osar-Emokpae, Impossible Is Stupid

Anaïs Nin
“We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospect.”
Anais Nin

Carl Jung
“I have treated many hundreds of patients. Among those in the second half of life - that is to say, over 35 - there has not been one whose problem in the last resort was not that of finding a religious outlook on life. It is safe to say that every one of them fell ill because he had lost that which the living religions of every age have given their followers, and none of them has really been healed who did not regain his religious outlook.”
Carl Gustav Jung, Modern Man in Search of a Soul

Thurgood Marshall
“In recognizing the humanity of our fellow beings, we pay ourselves the highest tribute.”
Thurgood Marshall
