I have a degree in French and Psychology from the university of St Andrews, but my love has always been literature of any kind. As long as it's good.

I'm an author, poet, teacher and gardener.

My debut novel, One Scheme of Happiness is set in a fictionalised version of the small Yorkshire town where I spent some of my childhood.

One Scheme of Happiness

Thanks to my wonderful publisher, Retreat West and the amazing Amanda Saint, my first novel, One Scheme of Happiness has been out in the world for just over a year and a half. All of which has been in the new normal of Zoom and social distancing etc.

I loved this novel, absolutely loved it. Laugh out loud funny with an underlying sadness. If you want to escape the doom and gloom of the world and enjoy a romcom, this is for you.
