Saw an ad on Youtube, by an actor usually known for a bratty, obnoxious behavior and a flashy, shallow personality, and it was for a complex financial product.
And I wondered how the audience would possibly ever relate to him, or have any sense of credibility from him.
And then - this was the epiphany - because I have a marketing background, I realized that was not the point. It would work because they didn't want credibility, they wanted topicality, identity, and following.
That's when I realized - if this works, then there's actually a huge problem... because nobody understands why credibility is important, why building your own financial skills is necessary.
So I started writing a post, which became a blog, and finally, became the book.(less)
