"It started out good, even though I'm not a fan of first person present tense. It makes stories feel very fanfiction-i, and not in a good way. There was an unexpected turn in the story and for some reason it feels a bit off. Abrupt. I'll go on, it doesn't seem like a long book, maybe it'll get better. I'm on an LGBTQ... reading streak, so if you guys have more stories like that that don't focus on romance, let me know" Jul 21, 2020 02:48PM

“The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.”
Richard Dawkins, The God Delusion

“We are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further.”
