I really loved this book, however at times it is so sad that it is difficult to read.

I found the character of Alice easy to love and very well written. The parts with her Grandmother and the other women really are lovely.

I really enjoy Ken Folletts writing style. I’ve read the other two books in the Kingsbridge series and I am happy to say that this one does not disappoint.

Full of intrigue, deception and murder it keeps the reader engaged through the numerous pages.
