No One Is Too Small to Make a Difference by Greta Thunberg
"Apologies for the French, but it's so fucking hard to understand why we can't just get with the program.

What's happening is this. The answers to our problems lie in extremely cheap, low tech solutions. All my reading on this at the moment leads me..." Read more of this review »

Although I did not love the entirety of this poetry book, I am thankful I read it.
I think of this more as an epistolary work where most letters gave me hope, courage, and peace, and for that I would very much like to thank the author .

“I’m thinking,” he said, following the flick of my tongue over my bottom lip, “that I look at you and feel like I’m dying. Like I can’t breathe. I’m thinking that I want you so badly I can’t concentrate half the time I’m around you, and this room is too small for me to properly bed you. Especially with the wings.”
Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Mist and Fury

Mohsin Hamid
“A single strand appeared to unite these conflicts, and that was the advancement of a small coterie's concept of American interests in the guise of the fight against terrorism... I recognized that if this was to be the single most important priority of our species, then the lives of those of us who lived in lands in which such killers also lived had no meaning except as collateral damage.”
Mohsin Hamid, The Reluctant Fundamentalist

“To the people who look at the stars and wish, Rhys."
Rhys clinked his glass against mine. “To the stars who listen— and the dreams that are answered.”

“But then she snapped your neck.”
Tears rolled down his face.
“And I felt you die,” he whispered.
Tears were sliding down my own cheeks.”

“I heard every word between you. I knew you could take care of yourself, and yet … ” He went back to his pie, swallowing a bite before continuing. “And yet I found myself deciding that if you took his hand, I would find a way to live with it. It would be your choice.”
I sipped from my wine. “And if he had grabbed me?”
There was nothing but uncompromising will in his eyes. “Then I would have torn apart the world to get you back.”
