It's weird, it's thrilling, it's mentally engaging, but I must say I've grown tired of these sort of stories. Not so much the explicit moments within the story, as I quite enjoyed all of the bizarre things that take place, but the message and tone.

"I was excited about this book because a trusted mentor recommended it; however, I was ruefully disappointed. First of all, I don’t think the book’s subtitle accurately represents the content. Upon completion, I was left with the realization Poklud..." Read more of this review »

"Where to begin?

When I first started this book, I was actually excited. Finally, the keys to the secrets to adulting well were within my reach! My optimism remained throughout the introduction and the first few chapters. But as I began to realize j..." Read more of this review »

This book is written to be a primer and in that respect, it's sufficient. However, because it's a primer, that's about all I can rate it as. At its best, it gives examples of Biblical Theology (the connective nature of Scripture held together by the ...more

James Luceno
“Evil? What is that? ...You said you were death itself. Are you evil, then, or are you simply stronger and more awake than others? Who gives more shape to sentient history: the good, who adhere to the tried and true, or those who seek to rouse beings from their stupor and lead them to glory? A storm you are, but a much needed one, to wash away the old and complacent and prune the galaxy of deadweight."

“The stories of so many people we love are not yet ended, and the privilege to tell them about the love of Jesus is a remarkable gift.”
Our Daily Bread Ministries, Stand Strong: 365 Devotions for Men by Men

Charles Haddon Spurgeon
“God’s promises were never meant to be thrown aside as wastepaper; He intended that they should be used.”
Charles Haddon Spurgeon, Morning and Evening: A New Edition of the Classic Devotional Based on The Holy Bible, English Standard Version

Charles Haddon Spurgeon
“There are times when solitude is better than society, and silence is wiser than speech. We should be better Christians if we were more alone, waiting upon God, and gathering through meditation on His Word spiritual strength for labour in his service. We ought to muse upon the things of God, because we thus get the real nutriment out of them. . . . Why is it that some Christians, although they hear many sermons, make but slow advances in the divine life? Because they neglect their closets, and do not thoughtfully meditate on God's Word. They love the wheat, but they do not grind it; they would have the corn, but they will not go forth into the fields to gather it; the fruit hangs upon the tree, but they will not pluck it; the water flows at their feet, but they will not stoop to drink it. From such folly deliver us, O Lord. . . .”
Charles Spurgeon

“I can't imagine a man really enjoying a book and reading it only once.”

Ethereal Temptation (Literature & Fiction)

Description: Secrets and Lies Confessions and Heartbreak All give definition to one touch. _____________________________________________________ After accidentally releasing a myriad of Goddesses into his neighborhood, high-schooler James Cater must return them back to the spirit realm Ariety. Helped by the superflous Eleon, the Goddess of Time herself, he must prevent the other Goddesses from destroying the souls of the human hosts they inhabit. However, in order to save them, James must first befriend the host on a personal level. Which begs the question: Is everyone so willing to open their hearts for some burnout student? Physics and Metaphysics, morals and responsibilities, love and hate, all collide in Ethereal Temptation as relationships - and lives - are put on the line. _____________________________________________________ Cover Art: Tjardo Tuinstra and Girlfriend
