Cheri Fields is a writer, editor, homeschooler, and Bible+science nerd. She divides her time between teaching her seven kids how to be competent adults and inspiring them and others to see God for the amazing being he is.
While she delights in all sections of the Bible (the first chapters of 1 Chronicles are a bit tough, but still important), Cheri particularly appreciates the two bookends of history.
—The beginning not only shapes our worldview and foundational theology, its events left all kinds of evidence in the natural world.

If we could answer it then we would not be sinners. We could make something else responsible...The theological question does not arise about the origin of evil but about the real overcoming of evil on the Cross; it ask for the forgiveness of guilt, for the reconciliation of the fallen world ”
Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Creation and Fall Temptation: Two Biblical Studies

C.S. Lewis
“The first action to be taken is to pull ourselves together. If we are going to be destroyed by an atomic bomb, let that bomb, when it comes, find us doing sensible and human things -- praying, working, teaching, reading, listening to music, bathing the children, playing tennis, chatting to our friends over a pint and a game of darts -- not huddled together like frightened sheep and thinking about bombs.”
