Such a fun story!

I don't think it's one of George MacDonald's very best written works of fiction, and yet it's still interesting and engaging.

I love how MacDonald not only tells a story, but inspires deep thinking. He does through the beautiful descr

This is perhaps my new favorite book on Christian apologetics, even though it confesses to be a sort of testimony instead. Chesterton presents a very logical, yet simple argument for Christianity. It's so simple and straight-forward that one would be ...more

I'd give it zero stars if I could.

In the preface alone, it's clear that Nietzsche suffered from delusions of grandeur. In his opinion, to understand him takes one who has "intellectual integrity to the verge of hardness." I don't doubt that it takes

I listened to this collection of short stories using the Librivox app, which had a very pleasant and engaging voice to listen to.

The Giant's Heart was okay, but it lost me and I didn't completely understand the point of it.

The Golden Key was better.

I've read several Evangelical Universalist books now. Most of them say pretty much the same thing, using pretty much the same arguments, and pretty much the same Bible verses. That's not to discount them; some of them are quite good and have helped m ...more

Not the best book on the topic, but a solid and personal work that will undoubtedly help many people through many struggles.

Maybe it's just because I'm not a southern woman, but it was a little hard to relate to some of Lysa's stories and ways of say

“It isn't possible to love and part. You will wish that it was. You can transmute love, ignore it, muddle it, but you can never pull it out of you. I know by experience that the poets are right: love is eternal.”
