It's always great to amble down hallways of conversations DFW had. I prefer the earlier interviews making up the first half of the book since they tend to have more to chew over, but the whole thing is worth a read.

On one hand this is wonderful nostalgia, reminding me of the shift from physical to digital. More importantly it's a great look into how the resulting fragmentation could be a great thing, should we embrace it.

Nothing really new here but a nice, comprehensive biography of the band. A nice read for longtime fans but probably better suited to folks unfamiliar with the group's history. It'd be a nice entry point for folks new to the band.

Excellent overview of glam through the years with an interesting epilogue tying it into the pop of today. It's obviously heavily focused on Bowie, and the final few pages form an incredibly touching eulogy of sorts.

A really satisfying read. I won't delve deeply into the generational disassociation I initially felt since Leas begins from the vantage point of a high school LCD fan and I'm closer to Murphy's age, because the book swiftly moved past that and uncove ...more
