From a very young age, Nigel had an interest in the horror genre. At the age of five, during a school trip to the local library, he stumbled across a hardback book on classic horror movies. His obsession with all things dark and sinister started at that single moment in time. Saving his pocket money and purchasing every horror guide available to him, he spent hours on end reading about Universal, Amicus and Hammer films. He also devoured fiction at a frantic pace, filling his bedroom with horror and science fiction novels along with comics such as 2000AD.

"Mr. VHS"

"Mr. VHS" is my first novel. I started work on this macabre tale back in June last year and it ties-in loosely with my second Masters of Taboo instalment, "Toast".

It's been a difficult journey with many interruptions but I've broken 45,000 words and the book's half way to completion. I'm really pleased with the work so far and various themes and threads have started to gel in a satisfying manner. Read more of this blog post »
