I read great reviews of Magpie Murders and it was sooo hard for me to get through it. I slogged through it until I was about 70% done and then it picked up a bit for me.

I'm a librarian and the kids love the Percy Jackson books so I decided to try one. I felt it was a poor imitation of Harry Potter. I won't continue with the series.
