Never-Ending Book Quiz
Keep on Truckin' Department:
Most authors are blissfully unaware that the Federal Bridge Gross Weight Formula is a mathematical formula used by truck drivers and US Department of Transportation to determine the appropriate maximum gross weight for a commercial motor vehicle based on axle spacing.
One exception could well have been Richard Matheson, who seemed to have a thing for trucks. Matheson wrote an excellent short story featuring a really menacing tanker truck, which remains seared in my memory. The story was adapted by Matheson into an outstanding movie in 1971, which happened to be the first feature film directed by a certain Steven Spielberg. The story features a motorist on an isolated road being followed and menaced by the truck, and its anonymous driver.
The name of the short story (and the film)?
Choose the correct answer:Duel Christine Convoy Wheels
