The Gandalara Cycle...starts with The Steel of Raithskar.7 books ...but they're fairly short. Mystery, swords, magic and cats. Big cats. By Randall Garrett and Cuckoo Ann Heydron.
Everyone should read The Chronicles of Amber, by Roger Zelazny. A pretty big series, but check it out.
Sorry it's Vicki Ann Heydron. Auto fix on my phone sometimes gets in the way, and it doesn't give me a very large window to read.

Not really looking for such big series :/
How about:Transit to Scorpio (Dray Prescott series, Ken Bulmer)
A Princess of Mars (John Carter series, Edgar Rice Burroughs)
At the Earth's Core (Pellucidar series, Edgar Rice Burroughs)
Rally Cry (Lost Regiment series, William R. Forstchen)
Jhereg (Vlad Taltos series, Steven Brust)
Elric of Melniboné (Elric series, Michael Moorcock)
Hmmmm.. okay.Jennifer Roberson's...
Karavans. Book 3 is due out the beginning of September.
I think it is the conclusion... but you know how things go. Later on the author could decide to add another trilogy.
:)
Jalilah wrote: "Theft of Swords by Michael J. Sullivan: Seems good but its not on the kindle store"You sure? It should, or maybe you can find the new edition, which comprehend the first two books. You could check on Michael Sullivan blog, who is a Goodreads author AND a very kind person, and usually answers all readers' questions. He helped me buy the last book of the series when it wasn't available on Kindle for Europeans readers (I'm from Italy).
Guy Gavriel Kay is a good fit for this:The Lions of al-Rassan
A Song for Arbonne
His Age of Emperors duology - Sailing to Sarantium, Lord of Emperors
To go classic:The first Amber series:Nine Princes in Amber is the first.
The Elric and Dorian Hawkmoon series by Michael Moorcock. If you like those there are many of his Eternal Champion books. I like some dislike others.
Of course Robert E. Howard's Conan books and stories.
Toliken if you haven't read him.
Moving forward in time:
Jim Butcher's Codex Alera books.
The Malazan Books....
I guess I'll stop. Of course if we include strong female leads there'd be even more, LOL.
