The world has made its music heard. Every culture has its own beats. Especially America and Britain. Rock has made itself heard over the rest of its equals. Punk Rock being the loudest of them all.
Most of the world wonders who came up with the idea of dry erase markers. The same with Asia. Some people even wonder where life came from. The only thing the world knows is that Malcolm McLauren, British boutique owner, started the Sex Pistols, and was their manager, thus, beginning the Punk-Rock movement. The Sex Pistols became famous and punk rock was heard. The Sex Pistols were the first punk rock band, and they shocked the British establishment.
Thus, this invention of new rock caused new clothing. Just like the hippies with heir flowers, bell-bottoms, and platforms, or the discos with their white suits and Afros, punk made a huge fashion statement that conquered over-seas, from the Kingdom to the States. This wardrobe consisted of torn clothes, dyed, wacky hair-dos, and spray-painted anarchist slogan tees. Guess who sold these? McLauren did. This new wardrobe shocked parents out of their wits.
The remainder of the Punk-Rock Movement lased six years. Punk Rock had a unique sound, harder and heavier. Some of the bands that were part of this were The Sex Pistols, Led Zepplin, Aerosmith, Devo, The Clash, The Damned, and The New York Dolls. These bands lyrics were so bad that parents were shocked, and teen culture gapped. Punk Rock glamorizes rebellion and punk rockers are similar to the hippies with heir social statements. Bands like The Sex Pistols and Devo didn’t make it through the 1980’s.
Most music is very normal, but in that category, punk rock didn’t cut the mustard. And punk rock made an impact on the U.K. and U.S.A.
