Jenny Now that I've read The Hemingses of Monticello, I'd like to read a good bio or even watch a documentary of Jefferson. Audio preferred, though I know that's not always a possibility. (And not too long please, I'm not ready for another 30 hour listen.) Any recommendations?

Mike | 27 comments Mod of my favorites is "Jefferson and Monticello: The Biography of a Builder" by Jack Mclaughlin. I believe it may also be available in audio - which shouldn't be anywhere near 30 hours!

There's also a short little book called "A Year At Monticello" by Donald Jackson, that details one year (1795) of Jefferson's domestic life.
