Susan | 33 comments Hi All! The library system will soon have a list of websites that review book content. This will help our patrons who want a movie-type review of many books.

Oops! Susan, I accidentally deleted the link to your website list, and now I can't find it on our site. Will you please repost it? Thanks!

Please include my book review website. We allow readers to rate books on the level of sex, violence, language, and drug/alcohol use. We use a 1-5 scale.

message 7: by Jennie (new)

Jennie | 41 comments I review books written primarily for adults for Meridian Magazine (www.ldsmag.com). This is an LDS oriented magazine and the books I review are not always LDS, but are usually by LDS authors or are by authors who choose to write without profanity, explicit sex scenes, or ridicule of religious beliefs.

Susan | 33 comments It sounds like rating books is something many are wanting, considering the variety of sites popping up out there.

Of course, our website is always a good place to go. If you haven't checked out the Reader's Cafe section, take a look! It's full of staff reviews, links to awards and other reviewers, plus you can access Novelist, which is full of read-alikes, reader's resources, and book information. It's the ultimate time-waster for book lovers!

Heather (HeatherNovotny) | 1 comments For romance novels, I've read The Romance Reader for years. The web design is stuck in the 90s but a lot of librarians review for them, and I've found the reviews to be really consistant over the years. They use an MPAA-style rating, G, PG, etc. There is also a sister site, The Mystery Reader.

For SF, I've read Locus for years. However, they don't rate for content. Maybe not such an issue for SF/F readers as the books aren't as spicy as Romance novels?

Sachin Fromdev | 1 comments I recently started a books and reading website IMustRead.com - The motivation behind this site is reading encouragement. I try to write book reviews as well. I am also trying to create an android app for kids to learn reading that I will provide for free(no ads either) so all kids can learn to read. They have right to learn reading. Please feel free to suggest any good ways to come up with this app. Thanks for your support.
