Jason Parent | 29 comments There are a ton of King film/TV projects on the way, including a Talisman mini-series.

I agree 100% on this. The novel was great. The mini-series was very blah and unwatchable after two episodes for me.

Bill (shiftyj1) | 138 comments I liked Joyland, but it was in no way noir. I was a little confused it was a hard case crime release, so I felt a bit deceived with the marketing.

I liked The Colorado Kid too, actually, even though a lot of people did not care for it.

Ahhh, why do so many people not like this book? It's actually my fav King, and I'm well aware I'm in the minority here. But as a writer who always felt like I drifted off to my own world where none but a select few could follow and to find some sort of healing there... I saw the book something like a metaphor for my creative life. And then, to find a love so strong that not even death could quench it, to find that one person that can follow you into the secret space of your dreams, that speaks the language you alone speak... There is nothing I've found on earth that compares. I'm convinced this book is pure magic.

Duma Key is my second fav and it had much the same effect, though maybe for different reasons. That one for me was more about the power of art, for good or for bad.

I think the only King I didn't like was Colorado Kid and mostly for the ending. I don't mind ambiguity, but there's an ambiguous ending, then there's plain unresolved.

Mike Limon | 1 comments I like just about everything that Stephen King has written. I am partial to his short stories. My favorite book is Cujo. The only book I didnt finish was The Dark Tower. I lost interest. My favorite short story was Rage. I just watched a Youtube video last night where he spoke to a group at Lowell, Mass, and he was asked what book is his favorite. He said, "Lisey's Story." He also said that he got the idea for Cujo after going to get his motorcycle fixed, and a giant St. Bernard almost attacked him. Thank you for the invite. This looks like a fun group!
