Amy | 4 comments How did Cal get an engineering job if he was thrown out of the Army?

Amy | 4 comments When does the sequel come out?

message 5: by Amy (new)

Amy | 4 comments Did you mean to totally contradict Cal's statement about family being an inconvenience with the rest of the story?

Cal met the Bavarians in South Carolina. They didn't care about American military service records. They didn't care what color he was. They were merit based. Every now and then, we are given second chances.

Great Question!

I wrote Son Of Adam to expose the questions in life we cannot answer unless we live them. We need to look at the impossible with a renewed sense of confidence. Personally, finishing the book seemed an impossibility to me. Never give up!

We find that Cal's life changed by a seemingly rhetorical question, "How can anyone by Pro-Life and Pro-Death penalty."

Once he lived it, it took years for him to finally face the answer.

Great Question, Andy! Thank you.

The sequel, Victory Together, is scheduled to be released in October. There is a sneak peak on my profile: Matthew Akers

Things heat up...

Thank you.

Amy | 4 comments My earlier question about the contradiction was sarcasm for " that was a brilliant way for you as an author to show how living life's journey changes a man. I love your work. I hope you didn't misunderstand.

That was a great question, and great questions stretch us.

Thanks for stretching me.

The title, In Santa Fe, Salacious, is so good. It makes me want to read it too!

You are correct. Family and friends were the hardest hurdle. Did you ever think they would string you up, tar and feather you or something?

Yes! Thanks for asking. It's finished, but needs editing. The next book is called "Victory Together."

What's on the radar for Tower Lowe?

Will Vivian and Joshua return in the sequel?

Matthew Akers | 25 comments Mod

Joshua's character is really expanded in the sequel. It's going to be great!

Vivian is a staple.

Make sure you never go against the political or religious beliefs of GR Librarians.

Yes. I removed the link. I caught a few librarians doing nasty stuff, but that is their problem. Sufficed to say, be aware politics and religious accusations/persecutions are alive and well on GR.

I enjoyed reading your blog. It encompassed the feelings I know all too well of the draining act of letting go of your writing that you've held and poured yourself into for so long.
