This particular book is without a doubt one of the best novels I have ever read in my life. The impact it had me has lasted through the years.

The characters are bold, and pitiful at the same time. We grow to love to hate the victems of Dantes plot, and even I dare say start to see Dantes own inner monster come out making him no better than those who committed the original betrayal.

Hayley | 1 comments Oh, my god! I love this book! It is my favorite classic novel. I think I just like a good story of vengence! Maybe I'm being heartless, but I disagree with Dantes being no better than the instigators of his demise. I feel he deserved to get justice.

I guess that I feel this way because he took great pains to effect his revenge even unto his victems family, that had really no part of the original act.
